Universal Orlando Resort on Tuesday released more details about Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry, an attraction at the new Epic Universe theme park, scheduled to open May 22. Universal also revealed a vacation package for Harry Potter fans.
Battle at the Ministry will be the centerpiece of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter -- Ministry of Magic, one of five themed worlds at Epic Universe. While most of the Harry Potter world will be set in Paris, Battle at the Ministry will be set in London.

Guests will arrive by magic, via the Metro-Floo, which was inspired by the Floo Network from the Harry Potter books and films, which enables witches and wizards to travel via fireplace. Guests will emerge inside the British Ministry of Magic from structures that resemble the fireplaces seen in the films.
Guests will make their way through some iconic spaces in the ministry. First will be the atrium, featuring the Fountain of Magical Brethren statue (restored after it was nearly destroyed in a previous battle), an enchanted weather ceiling and floor-to-ceiling ministry offices.
They'll also pass through the Ministry Reception, an information desk, and the office of Dolores Umbridge, where they will meet her house elf, Higgledy. Throughout, guests will notice details like ministry memos and the latest edition of the Daily Prophet newspaper.
In the atrium, guests will find out that they are visiting the ministry on the day of Umbridge's trial. Umbridge was a Ministry of Magic bureaucrat who was assigned to teach, and later lead, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry during Harry Potter's days there. Her reign as headmistress was underscored by cruelty and abuse toward students.

After making their way through the ministry, guests will board magical lifts. The vehicles seat up to 14, and are unique to the attraction. Universal said they will propel guests up, down, forward, backward, sideways and more.
Umbridge makes an attempt to escape her trial, and guests will follow her throughout the ministry, where they'll encounter magical creatures and Death Eaters. They will also pass through the ministry's Magical Archives, Department of Magical Creatures and the Time Room.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter -- Ministry of Magic will also feature a live show, Le Cirque Arcanus, in addition to themed dining and retail experiences.

A Harry Potter vacation package
Universal last month started selling multiday tickets and packages that include one day of access to Epic Universe.
Now, the resort is offering a package tailor-made for Harry Potter fans: the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Exclusive Vacation Package. It includes seven nights of hotel accommodations and a five-day park ticket. The ticket includes four days of park-to-park access at Universal Studios Florida and Universal Islands of Adventure, and one day's admission to Epic Universe.
It also includes early admission to some attractions at the parks, including Epic Universe, and perks like breakfast at Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley, Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade and Café L'air De La Sirene in Epic Universe; a Florean Fortescue's ice cream flight with a Honeydukes cooler tote, and a Shutterbutton's Photography Studio session.
The package is good for travel from May 22 to Dec. 31, 2025.
