Viva Cruises is adding a number of Christmas market cruises to its festive season lineup in Europe this year.
The collection of Christmas market itineraries, also called Advent cruises, will kick off in November on the Rhine, Danube, Main, Seine, Elbe and Vltava rivers.
On the Rhine, four different cruise itineraries will be available, with durations ranging from three to six nights. Travelers can hop from Dusseldorf to Koblenz, Bonn and Cologne, Germany, or cross the France-Germany border from Frankfurt to Strasbourg, with stops in Germany in Mannheim, Speyer and Mainz.
For travelers who enjoy smaller towns, a four-night cruise aboard the Viva Tiara, sails from Frankfurt and visits German towns like Wertheim, Wuerzburg, and Miltenberg.
And on the Elbe and Vltava rivers, guests can sail from Berlin to Prague, Czech Republic, aboard the Swiss Ruby, where they will explore destinations like Magdeburg, Meissen, and Dresden.
Viva Cruises is also offering several sailings between Christmas and New Year's.
