Tauck said two new river ships will sail in France in 2026.
A 130-passenger vessel will sail the Rhone. Its 68 cabins will include 22 suites of 300 square feet, 34 cabins of 225 square feet and 12 cabins of 180 square feet.
A slightly smaller ship will host up to 124 guests on Seine cruises. It will have 20 suites of 300 square feet, 30 cabins of 225 square feet and 12 cabins of 180 square feet.
The 180-square-foot Category 1 cabins on the new ships will be 20% larger than the Category 1 cabins on Tauck's other riverboats. Tauck will waive the single supplement for every sailing for all Category 1 cabins on the new vessels.
Tauck CEO Dan Mahar said some "fresh and fun innovations" are coming to the ships' sun deck, restaurants, lounges, spa and other common areas. "We have some wonderful enhancements in the works, and we're looking forward to revealing more of our plans in the coming months," he said.
Mahar said Tauck is concluding a record year of European river cruises, with double-digit percentage growth over last year's passenger levels.
