About Sudan
Accommodations range from deluxe in Khartoum to lakondas (rope beds in very basic rooms) and government rest houses. We strongly recommend staying in as deluxe a property as possible to minimize inconvenience and hassle. When the political climate permits, those venturing into southern Sudan should definitely take along camping equipment (including a mosquito net), food and potable water.
