Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. (RCCL) and Chinese online travel agency Ctrip have named their joint venture SkySea Cruises.

In September, Royal Caribbean and Ctrip agreed to partner on a cruise line that would serve the Chinese market. The sale of the Celebrity Century to Ctrip was part of the deal.

Royal Caribbean and Ctrip will each own 35% of SkySea Cruises, with the balance being owned by SkySea management and a private equity fund.

The new cruise line plans to begin service in the middle of 2015 with one ship.
