Lake Mead Mohave Adventures' new party boat rental experience offers a refreshing way to enjoy the outdoors during a Las Vegas visit.
The company defines September and October as its "Secret Season," with temperatures becoming milder. It offers roundtrip shuttle service from the Las Vegas Strip to Callville Bay Marina, about a 45-minute drive.
"'Secret Season' is the best time of the year to experience our party boat offer at Lake Mead and Lake Mohave," said Chad Taylor, the company's director of marketing and guest experience. "Kids are back in school, the summer tourists are gone, the weather begins to cool down but the water is still warm through the end of October. It's the best kept recreational secret in southern Nevada."
The pontoon boat rental, which can accommodate up to 12 guests, has a sundeck, waterslide, grill and wet bar. Guests can also add a personal watercraft or small boat rental.
What's for lunch?
Lunch can be ordered from Lake Mead Mohave Adventures for an additional cost. The grill menu, $36 per person (plus tax and fees), features hot dogs, hamburgers, potato salad, garden salad, fruit cups, chips and cookies. Guests can grill their selections while they're underway. There is also a box lunch menu option, $32 per person, with sandwiches and a vegan chickpea salad wrap.
Guests receive directions on how to pilot the boats, and the company's staff helps them navigate out of the marina and onto the open lake. For an additional fee, groups of up to 11 guests can hire a Lake Mead Mohave Adventures captain to pilot their boat.
Shuttles pick up guests on the Strip between 8 and 9 a.m. and return to Las Vegas between 4 and 5 p.m. The party boat offer, including a patio pontoon rental and roundtrip transportation for up to 12 guests, starts at $1,399 (plus tax and fees). Fuel, tax, refundable deposit and gratuity are not included. Visit CallvilleBay.com for more information.
