MSC Cruises will do Alaska itineraries for the first time in 2026, sailing seven-night cruises from Seattle on the MSC Poesia.
The Poesia, a ship that entered service in 2008, has a capacity for 2,550 passengers at double occupancy. MSC called the Poesia "a midsized ship perfectly designed to explore the narrow channels of the Inside Passage and stunning glaciers up close."
Itineraries will include Alaska ports Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Juneau, plus Victoria, British Columbia.
The Poesia will do a 20-day repositioning cruise to Seattle from Miami that traverses the Panama Canal. That cruise departs April 23, 2026, and visits Cartagena, Colombia; Colon, Panama; Puntarenas, Costa Rica; Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; San Diego; and Los Angeles.
The Poesia will do another Panama Canal cruise that departs for Miami from Seattle on Sept. 28, 2026.
The ship will reposition from the Mediterranean to Miami in the spring of 2026. That sailing departs Civitavecchia (Rome) on April 6, 2026, and arrives in Miami on April 22.
