Latam beginning this month will begin a $360 million seat and cabin refurbishment for 24 of its Boeing 787 aircraft, the carrier announced Thursday.

The updates will include a new premium business cabin featuring suites and seats that have privacy doors. The economy class also will receive new seats, and economy plus seats will have more legroom, greater recline and footrests. The new seats in premium business and economy classes will be upholstered with up to 70% recycled leather.

Ten of the 24 planes are Boeing 787-8 and will be used for the Chilean domestic market. The remaining 14 are Boeing 787-9 aircraft operating in Chile, Brazil and Peru. The first retrofitted planes are expected to begin commercial flights on March 1, according to Latam.
