Hilton has inked a strategic licensing agreement to open 150 Spark hotels across India. Hilton calls Spark a "conversion-friendly, premium economy brand."

The deal with Olive by Embassy, a subsidiary of Indian real estate company Embassy Group, introduces Spark to the Asia Pacific region.

Hilton said the first Spark hotels in India will open in the southern part of the country with a focus on Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

Hilton said Spark hotels in India will be "characterized by thoughtful simplicity and reliable service." Hotels will serve complimentary breakfast and feature a 24-hour retail market.

"The public spaces will feature multi-functional seating from communal tables to rocking chairs, offering plenty of options for guests to enjoy breakfast, socialize or work throughout the day," Hilton said.
