Disney has introduced a new skip-the-line service, Lightning Lane Premier Pass, that will enable guests to utilize Lightning Lanes without scheduling a time to experience an attraction.

The pass will cost between $129 and $449 per person, plus tax, depending on the park and the day purchased.

Lightning Lane Premier Passes will be available to purchase for the Walt Disney World Resort in Florida and the Disneyland Resort in California.

Premier Pass joins Disney's other skip-the-line products, Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. Both of those services require guests to schedule a one-hour window to visit an attraction.

The Multi Pass enables guests to schedule Lightning Lane windows for multiple attractions. Pricing depends on the park and day, but usually runs from $15 to $39 per person. The Single Pass is a reservation for the most popular attractions, like Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Pricing depends on the attraction and day, but typically ranges from $10 to $25.

The new Premier Pass will work differently on each coast.

In Orlando, Premier Pass will be available to guests staying at Disney deluxe resorts and deluxe villa resorts, the Swan and Dolphin hotels and the Swan Reserve, and the Shades of Green resort. It can be purchased up to seven days before the guest's stay.

Disney said it will pilot the rollout of Premier Pass starting on Oct. 30 "with very limited quantities."

The pass will gain guests one-time entry into each park's Lightning Lane experiences at any time, including Multi Pass and Single Pass experiences. It also includes digital downloads of attraction photos and videos.

Valid admission is required. The Premier Pass must be purchased for a specific park.

Standby lines are still available for most attractions. Some might use Disney's virtual queue system in times of high demand.

In California, Disney will begin its pilot of Premier Pass on Oct. 23 "with very limited quantities available." Unlike Disney World, where Premier Pass must be purchased for each park, in Disneyland the pass provides one-time entry to each Lightning Lane attraction in both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park (valid admission with a Park Hopper ticket is required to use it in both).

The pass will cost $400 per person, per day, through Dec. 31. Next year, Disneyland will offer varied pricing of $300 to $400, depending on the date and demand.

The pass will be available for sale up to two days in advance of park visits. It includes unlimited digital downloads of Disney PhotoPass pictures, including attraction photos and photos taken around the parks by photographers.
Standby lines and virtual queues are still available for attractions.
