Air France will bring its U.S. lounge count to six on Friday with the opening of a 12,000-square-foot facility at Los Angeles International Airport.

The lounge is located in the Tom Bradley International Terminal, near the gates Air France uses for its flights to Paris and Tahiti.

Appointed in Air France's deep blue and white with touches of red, the 172-seat lounge will have a full bar and serve locally sourced French cuisine, including dishes prepared on request in an open kitchen.

Beginning in September, the lounge will also have an area for spa treatments in partnership with cosmetics company Clarins, where customers will be able to get facials.

The LAX lounge will be open to Air France first class La Premiere flyers as well as business class customers and passengers who hold Elite Plus status for Air France. In addition, the airline will grant access to eligible flyers on other SkyTeam airlines, though SkyTeam member Delta has its own Sky Club in LAX Terminal 3.

In the Air France facility, La Premiere flyers will have access to a private lounge within the lounge that can seat up to 12 people. And individuals with Flying Blue Ultimate status, which is the highest loyalty status awarded by Air France, will also have access to their own alcove.

The new LAX lounge will join Air France lounges in San Francisco, Boston, JFK, Washington Dulles and Houston Bush Intercontinental.
